CNN anchor Bill Weir apologized on Thursday for a tweet lambasting Fox Nation, a website run by Fox News. 

"Weather is not climate, you willfully ignorant f**ksticks," Weir tweeted on Wednesday, linking to a story written by the Washington Times but featured on Fox Nation about how unusually cooler-than-usual temperatures greeted trucks from Al Gore's Climate Reality Project handing out ice cream to raise awareness about global warming in Denver.

On Thursday, Weir apologized, tweeting: "The glop of Midwestern guilt stuck in my chest prob won't go away until I apologize to @foxnation for name-calling. Dumb move. My bad."
