POLITICO Brussels Playbook Breakfast
We are delighted to present POLITICO Brussels Playbook Breakfast event, with Nigel Farage MEP, Leader of the UK Independence Party and Co-Chair of the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group.
Nigel Farage, is one of the most colorful figures in British and EU politics. With his provocative speeches and outspoken views, Farage avoids the traditional niceties of British political debate in favor of direct language that appeals to a public skeptical towards the political establishment.
In a rare one-on-one interview in Brussels, Ryan Heath quizzed Farage on why he thinks the UK would be better off outside the EU, on his views on migration and how he has managed to take UKIP to being the party with the third largest number of votes in the last UK elections.

UK Independence Party leader, Nigel Farage is an MEP and co-president of the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group. He attended Dulwich College before heading to the City to become a commodity broker. Motivated by his opposition to British membership of the Euro exchange mechanism, he became a founder member of the UK Independence Party, which went on to become the biggest British party in the European Elections in 2014. Farage has had a tempestuous life. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 21, a few months after a near fatal car crash, he was also involved in a plane crash. The dulcet voice of Euroscepticism in Brussels, he has many opponents in the European Parliament and regularly jousts with Commission President Juncker and European Council President Tusk. A Libertarian, he advocates ordered British withdrawal from the EU's political union. He believes in friendship, free trade and cooperation among free, independent European nations.
