It was a lunch of burgers and fries on Friday for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

The pair had lunch at Shake Shack, in the burger chain’s Dupont location. Obama ordered a burger and fries, while Biden had a cheeseburger, fries and a black-and-white milkshake, according to the pool report.

They had lunch with four workers from a D.C. reconstruction project, the pool said. The lunch follows what has been recent push by Obama to emphasize the importance of rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure.

Obama said they picked Shake Shack because it has “great burgers and pays its employees more than 10 bucks an hour,” according to the pool.

Obama and Biden have dined on one of America’s classic meals before — they had lunch at Ray’s Hell Burger in 2009, when the restaurant had a Rosslyn, Va., location.

Some took to Twitter to post photos of the Obama and Biden’s visit on Friday to the popular downtown lunch spot.
