Glenn Beck rails against media for ignoring exclusive event

On his Friday radio show Glenn Beck railed against the media for ignoring the fact that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is joining the conservative radio host on Saturday, bringing supplies to undocumented children being held at the border.

Beck said it was because the media is already starting to play “presidential games” and that the left wants to paint the senator as a “hater.”

“If [former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush] were going down, I guarantee you Fox News would be covering it,” Beck added. “NBC would have cameras there.”

While The Blaze published a story on Thursday afternoon announcing that Cruz would be joining Beck, it turns out the event is exclusive to Beck's media company.

The media advisory sent out to reporters from Cruz’s office detailing his Saturday trip to a border facility and press conference has no mention of the event with Beck. As our colleague Burgess Everett reports, the event will be at a church and is exclusive to The Blaze, since coverage will only be available to subscribers of Beck’s cable channel.
