SIGN THE GARDEN STATE CARES PETITION
New Jersey's nursing home caregivers work incredibly hard to take care of residents - feeding, bathing, healing, and providing companionship to the sick, injured, and elderly in our state - yet they barely earn enough to care for their own families. When caregivers are overworked and underpaid, it jeopardizes the quality of care nursing home resident receive.
I support improving conditions in NJ nursing homes by:
1. Setting minimum standards for staffing levels so caregivers are not overworked & patients get the care they need
2. Raising the minimum wage to $15
3. Protecting the right for caregivers to stick together in a union and take action to improve their working conditions and quality care.
