Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in Boulder later this month for a hometown fundraising reception for Rep. Jared Polis.

Pelosi is scheduled to attend the reception at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the home of Dan Friedlander and Diane Rosenthal, 2945 Lafayette Drive. To attend, guests are asked to contribute $100, $250 or $1,000 to the Jared Polis Majority Fund 2012.

The event is being hosted for Polis by a committee that includes local Democrats Gordon Arbuckle, Mike Driver, Tim Enwall, Gordon Gamm, Margery Goldman, Dan Gould, Josie and Rollie Heath, Edie Hooton, Rick Palacio and Ruth Wright.
